CTA is working with Traffic Injury Research Foundation’s (TIRF) newly created Canadian Coalition on Distracted Driving to develop a realistic action plan to address distracted driving in Canada. CTA will be providing input to the process over the course of the summer and fall. To assist CTA staff in providing input into this effort Team Canada Elite members from the OEM truck sector, suppliers of in-cab technologies, or other interested CTA members are encouraged to share the innovative ways in which they are addressing the distracted driving issue. CTA appreciates any information that can be shared to demonstrate how the trucking industry is a leader in this regard from both a policy and technological standpoint.
Members interested in providing input are encouraged to respond to this email with details before August 31, 2016.
