“People work for money but go the extra mile for recognition, praise and rewards.”

Dale Carnegie, Leadership Training Guru

Service to Industry

The trucking industry is a powerhouse industry that is relied upon by every Canadian. It drives the economy, makes this way of life possible and ensures that we never go without. The trucking industry would not be where it is today without leaders, pioneers and dedicated individuals who worked throughout their careers to better it.

For 80 years the STA has fought the battles on behalf of the industry, worked diligently to create a better business environment for trucking in Saskatchewan.

The STA is a collective of people who had this mentality and put in work for the good of all. If you know someone, in your employ or otherwise, who have made creative contributions to the Saskatchewan trucking industry, they deserve to be nominated for this prestigious award.

Driver of the Year

Drivers are the backbone of the trucking industry; without them, goods would not get to market – plain and simple.

The North American Truck Driver Shortage that currently plaques the industry is a constant reminder that retaining a companies best drivers is key in running a successful organization. Recognizing great drivers who go the extra mile is a retention tool.

Drivers who win this award have typically driven millions of miles – accident-free.

They are praised by customers and dispatchers alike and have a tremendous amount of pride in doing their job and doing it well.

Dispatcher of the Year

Where would a trucking company be without dispatchers? Lost.

Dispatchers are often the major point of contact for customers and drivers, making them key building blocks in both corporate culture and customer retention. Often on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and love every minute of it, great dispatchers are difficult to come by and important to keep.

Let your dispatcher know that their choice to invest their heart and soul into the organization has not gone unnoticed
