Networking breakfasts are held in both Saskatoon and Regina to ensure access for all Members. The goal of the networking breakfasts is to gather the Membership for discussions on the industry, the Association and the role both are playing in the Saskatchewan economy. These events are open to all Members, both Carrier and Affiliate.
The 2017 Regina Networking Breakfast featured a presentation by the CEO of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, Steve McLellan. The Saskatchewan Trucking Association has a Membership with the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and regularly participates in SCC events.
Steve presented on Economic Outlook for Saskatchewan to the present Members, engaging them in conversation about actions we need to take, how policy changes will affect trucking and hence the economy and much more.
The 2017 Saskatoon networking event focused on some very different topics. Drivewyze Services rep Brian Taylor spoke with the group about the success of scale bypass systems in other jurisdictions and what it could mean for companies in Saskatchewan. The conversations at this meeting lead to the creation of the STA Working Group on Scale Bypass Technology in Saskatchewan.
