Safe Worker Recognition Program

How the Program Works:
The rules of the program are as follows:
1. Safe Worker Recognition Program is open to employees, where their main job description is not a truck driver.
2. The Safe Worker Recognition Program is available to employees, such as, but not limited to, mechanics, dock workers, supervisors, managers, heavy equipment operators, shippers, receivers, trainers.
3. To be eligible, the employee:
a. Has had no lost time injury during 2019
b. Has been available to work for a minimum of 6 months during the 2019 calendar year
c. Has had no preventable reported incidents or near misses
e. Has provided a safe work suggestion referenced or adopted by their employer
f. Has provided a safety observation
g. Has responsibility for their own safety and/or the safety of others
h. Has not been suspended from their normal work duties, as a result of disciplinary action, for any reason during the calendar year of 2019.

Presenting the Awards
As the employer, you present the pins along with the certificates and any milestone awards to the employees who have earned them. Employers are welcome to present the awards in any manner they see as appropriate. For example, some employers already have a process such as an awards banquets.
Individuals will simply receive their package in the mail. The STA does not have an awards banquet for this purpose.

In order to receive the member cost rate, you must be employed by a company that is a member of the Saskatchewan Trucking Association. Employees of non-members will be charged the non-member rate.
**5% GST will be added to the prices listed above
