CTA has been interviewed by the Globe on this piece for over a year. OTA also worked with the writer of this piece in 2021 while she worked on a similar investigative article with the Toronto Star.
This high-profile coverage gives us a powerful, timely opportunity to advance our core policy goals and neutralize the false narratives damaging our industry. Some outlier organizations and predatory carriers continue to deny that “Driver Inc.” and these systemic non-compliance issues exist, and are the invention of CTA and the provincial associations. We must use the Globe’s rigorous journalism to prove that these problems are real, widespread, and require immediate government intervention.
