FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Saskatchewan Trucking Association Welcomes Professional Drivers to Annual Weigh Scale BBQ

The Saskatchewan Trucking Association (STA) would like to invite media to attend its annual Saskatoon area BBQ at the Langham Weigh Scale at 11:30 a.m. on May 21.

More than 250 professional drivers are expected to attend the annual free BBQ as they pass by the weigh scales on their way to delivering freight across the province or country.

Held annually at several weigh scales in Saskatchewan, the BBQs are held as a salute to the importance of trucking in Saskatchewan, and to the drivers who deliver the goods to Saskatchewan residents, including to grocery stores, agricultural centres, gas stations and other areas of our vibrant economy.

A special thanks to Loblaws for providing the food and to HK Henderson | Navacord for sponsoring the Saskatoon-area BBQ.

The STA plays a vital role in shaping the province’s transportation landscape. Through collaborative advocacy, the STA works with stakeholders to influence business regulations that make sense. The STA is committed to safety and compliance, which ensures responsible operations across the industry. As a key contributor to the supply chain, STA strengthens Saskatchewan’s economy by connecting communities, supporting industries and driving economic growth throughout the province.

STA’s Executive Director Susan Ewart will be on hand to provide interviews.
