Job Description

Alpine Transport and Rigging is looking to fulfill our Dispatcher and Office Coordinator position. This position is full-time, and will include dispatching and coordinating all loads, obtaining permits, communicating with drivers, scheduling maintenance with our mechanic division, tracking fuel and ELD's, and additional office duties.

Specific Duties

  • Complete and send all driver dispatches daily utilizing computer dispatch system
  • Communicate with customers - track loads, communicate delivery times and make customers aware of any changes
  • Coordinate loads (flat deck TL, LTL, heavy haul), and look for back loads
  • Obtain permits
  • Schedule maintenance with mechanic division
  • Complete office duties such as collecting work orders and bills of lading, tracking and filing fuel reports, renewing registrations, maintain vehicle operator work records
  • File IFTA reports and track ELD's

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experience within the transportation industry required
  • Experience dispatching
  • Must be accustomed to busy phones
  • Ability to adjust priorities in a hurry
  • Ability to build customer relationships
  • Knowledge of Saskatchewan transport regulations (and other provinces preferred)
  • Experience with with heavy haul loads or interest to learn permitting and understanding heavy haul
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a day-to-day fast paced environment
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel, teams)

Candidate must be living in Canada, this position requires the employee to live in Saskatoon or surrounding area and be in the office daily (no remote work)
