A message from Safer Roads Canada

Safer Roads Canada, a Canadian not-for-profit, is releasing two short educational videos that promote safety around heavy trucks. Safer Roads Canada was formed by a group of families of the victims of the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash and others and is focused on improving road safety in the commercial trucking sector by advocating for enhanced entry-level class 1 driver training and promoting a strong safety culture.

Trucking and Road Safety - A message from Safer Roads Canada
Safer Roads Canada is a Canadian not-for-profit dedicated to improving the commercial licensing system and to making our roads a safer place for everyone to travel.

This project was supported through funding from Transport Canada's Enhanced Road Safety Transfer Payment Program in partnership with SGI, and Saskatchewan Trucking Association, STA.

Safer Roads Canada, Transport Canada, SGI, and STA have a shared goal of making roads safer, and by working together, we aim to amplify the shared safety message and bring added awareness of safety around large trucks to all road users.

The videos will be made available to trainees in class 1 and class 5 driving programs in Saskatchewan.
