Saskatchewan’s process for entering vehicle inspection certificates is going digital. The first step toward implementation will be a pilot with a select number of inspection stations beginning May 16. This will be followed up with a staggered rollout to all 980 certified inspection stations beginning in July and ending in September. The new process means inspection stations will be responsible for inputting the data directly into the Auto Fund Application themselves.
During the transition between the paper process and electronic process, vehicle owners may be provided three different types of inspection certificates (see below). All three are acceptable (see examples on the next page) and if there is any question regarding the validity of a certificate, please contact SGI’s Vehicle Standards & Inspection department at 1-306-775-6188.
